Yeah, this is what I’m thinking.
We might have to accept that until we have a squad of quality so really don’t HAVE to bring in improvements, or we’re good enough that players will hand in a transfer request to move too, then we might have to pay a little over the odds.
Still don’t want to pay too much OTT though, but till we’re not desperate for players we might just have to pay a bit more than we’d like
Not really.
The club will only sell their Brazilian international marque signing for 100-120€ .
Real can't afford that, won't pay it but its irrelevant Bruno doesn't want to leave period. He's a don here, he'll be a foot note at Real, a no body, another small name on the wall of world class players.
At NUFC Bruno will go down in folk law as a hero.
Back to the main point Casimero.
£70 for a 30/31 Yr old static last gen DMF who doesn't compute in any moder English Premier League midfield.
He wouldn't get a game for City, Chelsea, Liverpool or even Arsenal.
Although the monkeys at Sky have bummed him up in their report they contradicted themselves by saying he isn't a Den Haag style player.
Music to my ears, that midget CB they just bought and this over the hills static DMF will hopefully not gel with the rotten corrupt squad of garbage they currently employ with add to the over paid underachieving bunch of red filthy.
God bless ya all lads ans lasses, Bruno is a Geordie!
Losing players like Bruno was always a concern for me.
If i"m Bruno, Real Madrid are always going to be a temptation. Especially with our lack of signings this Summer. Real Madrid are the level Bruno wants to be at now. Is he willing to wait 3-4 years for us to catch up? Bloody hope so, but wouldn't be surprised if not.
No reason we can't push for Europe this season. It should be our aim. I think we'll get close with a few signings in attacking areas.
From Sky Sports today "Newcastle may have averaged two points per game this year - the most of any calendar year in the club's Premier League history - but their attacking numbers are seriously underwhelming when digging into the data - surprisingly so.
Of all the ever-present Premier League teams since Howe's appointment, no team have created fewer big chances (defined by Opta) than Newcastle (27) and only Wolves and Everton have posted a lower total expected goals than Newcastle's (35.36). No wonder Howe is hunting for a creative player in this window. A solid defence can only take you so far."
Casimero is a quality signing for Manu, though his contract is nuts!
