Sorry. It if stevie G is still our manager at the weekend, anyone not captaining Haaland in this competition is far too well disciplined. I want to finish as high up in the overall leagues this season and can tell you now, if I don't triple captain that big, scary, deadly viking against our little defence then I'll have been honourable.

This league isn't separate from the other ones. And unfortunately some of the other leagues are (whisper it quietly) cash leagues. I'm not missing out on up to £10 prize because of not capping Haaland against the worst defensive unit we've ever seen.

I only started playing fantasy football because of our Villa Mad League, which I believe is special, because it's a little group of Villa fans (plus honorary Villa Madder Gavin as your friend) who have become friends to me over the years. I love all your personalities and quirks. It's why I would spend hours, sitting up until 2 am, writing the updates every week, until it literally got too much, when the League numbers grew to more than time than I was able to spend writing about them all, in the way I would wish . Now I love reading Rosie's updates that she dedicates so much time to each and every week. It's what makes us different to all the other Leagues. There was no way I'd have spent all that time writing about any other League, cash or not. I might have a cursory look to see where I am in the world, but I don't really care. It's you all that are important to me.

It just makes me feel sad to see Villa fans captaining opposing players in this special League of dedicated and passionate Villa fans. Especially when I know so many won't ever do so, due to loyalty to Villa and will therefore lose quite badly out in some of the games. It can get quite demoralising sometimes. I think if I had bigger fish to fry. and were that bothered about the main League and cash Leagues, I'd just create a 2nd team for them, (though I know that's not really allowed). All the best Sam.
