Delighted for him! Thought he got in good positions too and clearly loads of energy. Needs to start against Coventry!

Pleased for the lad-to score on his debut just a few days from signing for us must be a great feeling. I watched his interview on the official wba site and he comes across as a nice fella. He talked of wanting to entertain the fans and likes to be on the ball and scoring goals and I'm thinking, as a striker you need confidence but the championship is quite a step up so he may find it a lot harder than he thinks-plus, of course, will Bruce actually play him.! Well, he made the most of his time on the pitch last night so lets hope he continues to get game time. Having the majority of possession and creating chances is one thing but putting the all in the back of the net is a another. Both he and Cleary need their opportunities now.

As for some of the silly defensive errors, let's hope the experience of Kelly can help turn this around!

Thought he came across as a lovely kid who came from nothing and thrilled with the opportunity! We need to play him and still like the idea of a 4-4-2 with him starting alongside Grant and Dike when fit!

TGH played great too so hope he keeps his place now as better than Furlong in my view!!!

I like this type of signing but I don’t think we should get too far ahead of ourselves. He barely touched the ball when he came on.

And yet he scored, we could really use an Earnshaw type of striker. A fox in the box, who just always seems to be in the right positions when the ball comes in and scores a lot of tap ins. That’s what I’m hoping for with this lad.

I’ve not seen enough of him technically to say how good on the ball he is or isn’t. But at least he’s hungry and knows he has a great opportunity, and he wants it. It’s refreshing to see.

A 'fox in the box' is how I was going to describe him 123. Having said this, the type of player he needs to play alongside is an Andy Carroll. Also, we put over thirty crosses into the box last night and had we had Carroll he would have got on the end of a few of them. We could do a lot worse than bring him back in my opinion.

Good point Leicester as we are saying this - crosses and set pieces totally wasted as nobody to get their head on it. Grant can’t head it - O’Shea too small and Townsend wastes too many opportunities. Think back to Dawson or GMac who would be a threat from a cross or set piece. There’s nobody and Bartley is about the only one but usually fouls someone.

Honestly think a 4-4-2 would work without Molumby who runs a lot but not over effective!

Confidence works wonders. As a striker there is no better start. I joined a new club (years ago now) and didn’t score for 11 games, ended up on the subs bench. I came on in a game and scored within 2 minutes of coming on and never looked back that season. As a striker it’s all about confidence, belief, I really hope now that Asante keeps on hitting the back of the net. Asante and Grant could do some damage if that’s the case.

He couldn't have got a better start a goal and instant rapport with the Albion fan's. The goal wasn't easy by any means, his technique and lightning reactions were first class.
I think it was his only touch of the ball but it was enough.
Albion fan's need to show patience, there will be games when he is anonymous but he couldn't have got a better start. Crossing over the threshold with your team mate's and fans is always important.
