According to someone on Twitter, Liz Truss is the 7th PM since Wolves last won at the Hawthorns. John Major, I think, was PM when it happened

You don't need to be an expert to judge that , see how much you have left in the bank after you've paid all your bills , it's really that easy .

Here's a prediction on how Truss will go about it , the energy companies will not have their abhorrent and criminal profits touched and the UK taxpayer will pick up the tab for the next God knows how long .

The electorate don't need to wait two years for that because they know what's coming and following the next election they will be out for over a decade , if it was left to me they'd be put out of business for good .

The Tories have decimated this country and its time they were crushed for good .
    Utter b o l l o x.

The reason the coalition got in in 2010 was due to the s h I t fest we were in at the time.

Courtesy of “world events” in 2007-2008 as espoused by the Left at the time despite Brown having sold off our gold for the price of a Mars Bar and that Labour Minister leaving his “we’ve spent all the money” note at The Treasury for his successor.

All governments do good things and bad things.

No doubt you’ll be refusing your £400 energy rebate and declining having your energy bill frozen?

Totally agree! Sunak will be banking this £400 that's for sure! Makes me vomit that very wealthy people get these rebates too! I am 100% for small businesses getting rebates/energy help too ( turnover up to say 10 million ) but it's sickening that f uck whit companies like Sports Direct, Amazon, Virgin, Victoria Beckham etc will receive these handouts when their profits already are obscene! Makes no sense!

100% agree. When Labour left office they had invested in the NHS, the police force and education. Yes they spent money, but we had teachers, nurses and policemen to show for it. Their legacy was rebuilding the public services that previous Tory governments had crippled. Then the Tories got in and cut thousands of nurses, policemen and teachers. Looks like Labour will have to start the rebuild it all over again when they eventually next get into power.

As for Mick's point about debt, I remember reading somewhere (so don't quote me on this, could easily be wrong) that Labour left us 650bn in debt when they left office in 2010. The current UK debt now is over 2 trillion - from the party that prides themselves on their economic performance. Yes, we've had the pandemic, but look at what Labour left behind compared to what the Tories will. Its incredible they get voted in time after time.

If the Tories are as bad as their critics make out, and they haven't been that good, how poor must Labour be because they still can't get in. I rest my case.
