    Liz Truss

Hang on to your hats........the lid is about to come off the cookie jar, within a week the cash is going to be flying around.

Will you be refusing the cash that’ll be on offer to help you with your energy bills?

If she allows me to use all of my wife's tax allowance, this will save me £50 a week but will still have pay a small bit of tax.

I’m talking about the money we will all get towards our energy bills?

Not so sure there’ll be cash being flung about filling the coffers. I suspect there will be ‘freeze’ on fuel prices with the fuel companies compensated by government. Thus the usual story of Conservatives helping the shareholders rather than the general public.

You didn’t really think there would be even more bail outs for us mere mortals did you?

    Yes I do actually Pug.

Putting the subsidy in the hands of the public rather than the energy companies actually reduces inflation by 4% and this seems to be Truss’s main agenda.

Any cash should go to those that need it! Presume even Sunak will get it so absolutely obscene. I will give any hand outs to charity!

Paying us to pay more to the energy companies/producers so they can make bigger profits is an obscene waste of our the tax payers money, we are the ones that will ultimately have to pay it back!
We own United Kingdom North Sea gas fields granting Exploration and production licences are sold via the Oil and Gas Authority which is a private company but owned by the government. Simply put we either force the companies with licences to sell their gas to us at a fair price outside of the trades commodity price, or simply revoke the licences and nationalise the distribution. Either option works but printing money does not!
Issue is of course the corporations own our politicians so this will never fly under a Tory government and sounds too much like socialism for centric labour to embrace..

Truss has made various statements lately including her view that any redistribution of wealth is not what is needed but rather "growth" (although there is little detail about how we will achieve this exactly). She sees nothing "unfair" with the richest getting the most benefit from tax cuts (yes, they pay more but no questioning of how some made so much of their money), will not countenance a windfall tax on the likes of BP or Shell, is not in favour of "handouts" to help those most in need, still lays the blame of the UKs productivity issues at the feet of.the "idle" workforce, is fully behind zero hour contracts and is now working to abolish more EU driven workers rights such as the 48 hour week. Ah, yes she is a Conservative and a wannabe Thatcher without the ability. She may select a right wing cabinet but a lot of more centrist Tories will be concerned that she will cost them all those seats in the Red Wall come the next election.

In the meantime-power to the people!😀

She has so much potential to be up there with the most incompetent Tory PMs.

Its a crowded field, but I really think she could pull it off.
