You all need to stop voting with your d icks, you p ricks… you all wanted Penny in the first place but ended up with the lovechild of Teresa May and Thatcher.

FFS.. obviously i’ll want Truss to do well, and I wanted Boris to too but i’m sorry the number of chances they’ve had to sort the economy for starters is shocking. I don’t hold much hope for Truss, especially with plans to loan those companies. Just what if they can never be repaid?

Problem is the amount of incompetence that exist within the Tory party. We were told back in 2008/9 we’re all in it. The cuts came in, no investment to any infrastructure because we were told there is no money. Fast forward and we have money for HS2. We are being lied to over and over again. They don’t deserve to be in power. Labour can’t get in because they don’t have billionaires and media moguls on their side. You really think Labour can win?

If you believe the lies tories tell you, then there’s something wrong with you to keep supporting them. I don’t blame Scotland for wanting out. Those that vote tories have some vested interest or you’re getting something in return to vote and spread their propaganda. You need to get your heads checked. Lie after lie is all that is coming and to be honest, everyone I hear from up and down the country are fed up. Tories won’t win the next general election - but they’ll some how get in with our unreformed political system we have.

There are charlatans and scoundrels in all areas of society, that includes political parties.

I doubt that any of our politicians are able to successfully address all the country’s problems at the moment. The pandemic was a massive blow to the economy, regardless of who was in power. How about blaming Putin for the energy (and general cost of living) crisis, after all, that war is the main driver of these problems; it would be the same regardless of who was in power. All our services and resources are grossly overloaded because there are too many people in the country for those resources to be adequately spread across society. If Labour was in power, arguably this problem would be even worse. The first duty of our government is to protect us, that also means, to my mind, the structure of our society but I don’t think that any of our politicians are prepared to face up to that particular responsibility.

The notion that the tories are bad because things are worse since they came into power is absolute drivel.

The crash in 2008 forced their hand to cut public funding following a fiscal boost..which BTW was no fault of tories (or Labour for that matter). All other parties would have had to take this action and would get this criticism at a later point.

It's all a bit like your wife having a pop at you for you not paying for a holiday next year when you are funding energy bills.

I’m sorry but I disagree.. there’s been no long term planning for anything, no foundation set for anything. India just took over the UK as a g6 nation. Tell me, has our gdp got any better since 2009?
While labour had their faults at least they were more understanding towards our public services. Not this, awarding of contracts to mates that’s what happened while people were getting done by covid. Starmer doesn’t fill me with any confidence but at least he has integrity.

They would spend more on public services because they were in power during an era when they could spend more on public services.

Have a look at public spending since Tories were in power. Miles more than Labour before them (excluding 2008/9). You won’t see the benefits of it because it’s not spent on public services or making the country a better place for citizens.

It’s keeping the economy from collapse. It’s spent on welfare, infrastructure, pension, debt repayments etc..

Public service spending does little for the economy…and if your economy is f*cked you have no money for public services. It’s painful but tell me an alternative?
