Football matches as portrayed in TV shows.

Whilst away on holiday I was forced to be in the same room as the wife watching Coronation Street, thankfully I had earphones on listening to music.

The Rovers Return FC were in a 5 a side match with another pub.

    FFS......who choreographs this garbage!?🤣

    Did anyone else see it?

People standing still whilst opposition walked past them with the ball ( a bit like watching Livermore ) and people stood on their own passing it to each other before a girl scuffs a shot past a keeper who walks out of the way!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    It’s pitiful rubbish, embarrassing TV.

Dev running on to coach players! 🤡🤣🤣🤣

This made “The Great Escape” with Sly Stallone look like a Champions League Final.

TV portrayals of football matches have long made my p I s s boil!

I agree. The same with adverts blokes or women now dribbling and defenders throwing themselves every which-way but towards the ball. The other thing I find pathetic is when a drama on TV has a protest or riot in the street. Half a dozen people waving placards and jumping up and down shouting. Totally unrealistic.

Coronation Street should have been put to sleep years ago. Nobody lives in streets like that except refugees. The Rovers would have long been converted into flats or a Chinese.
If something terrible happens they say flaming hell or bah.
    Utter drivel.

I vaguely remember a very good football play on TV from years ago. All I remember of it was the game was marred by the players kicking sh1t out of each other, the players smoking and the goalkeeper arguing with his girlfriend whilst leaning on the goalpost.

The ref finally had enough and cracked and went up the goal area and headed in a corner kick. Cant remember much else after that not really sure what the play was called I think it was from around the 70s. Im sure Deirdere Barlow was in that as well!
