    WBA PREDICTION LEAGUE - update

I normally post up Prediction Time today but Due to the death of The Queen I'm unsure how this will affect sporting fixtures this weekend. So for now I will leave it and post in due course.

I wouldn’t be surprised if all sport is cancelled this weekend.

Apparently there is a plan in place in the event of the Queens demise. As part of that plan called Operation London Bridge, which is set out for nine days of mourning following the monarch’s death, sports fixtures would indeed be postponed.

    Would they do that?

How about postponing that World Cup of bribery? Preferably permanently.

The statement from the EFL reads

"EFL fixtures will be discussed with the Government and the wider sport sector during the period ahead and an appropriate announcement will be made at the earliest opportunity."

A decision on weekend Premier League and EFL fixtures will be made after a review of the official mourning guidance, plus consultation with other sports and the Department for Culture Media and Sport.

    Games are off this weekend.

The Premier League and EFL have confirmed that this weekend’s football fixtures will not go ahead but other sports are poised to continue after the Queen’s death.

The government told sports that this weekend’s action could go ahead but left the final decision up to them.
