    These one year deals or one year with an option for another year in the clubs favour only are ideal business.

    We should be doing a lot more contracts of this sort, one year rolling contracts and if players don’t like it they can go elsewhere!

    It keeps players on their toes and avoids the Zohorre type scenario.

    Agreed, and only tie them down after a year if they’ve proved they don’t suffer from Burke syndrome.
