When your centre half can hit a thunderbolt into the top corner from 22 yards out and then your centre forward can do that 6ft in the air with your foot after the most delicious ball into the box with a flick of the outside of the boot then you can win any game! Sensational goals. They are simply a joy to watch.

In terms of Langstaff, as Davy pointed out this one probably isn't down to the #radar we can assume the leagues above knew about all those goals. So instead the praise should probably go to the owners for putting hands in their pockets, having a clear plan and vision to sell to the player, to secure both his and his strike partners signatures. Would love to know how long they had been planning the (double) swoop knowing Wootton was likely to depart.

Already it's clearly an excellent piece of business. So well done to the Bros, you give credit where credit is due.

Virtually all other clubs must have noticed Langstaff but the fact that he was playing in a mostly part time league probably left them feeling he wasn't worth it. Our owners/recruitment team obviously did and it's currently looking a very shrewd investment indeed. If we end up rolling in it, it's all thanks to them because we had no manager at the time. You've got to have the service though, it reflects well on the team and LW as well.

Not to be overly pedantic, but, Stones goal wasn’t top bins. It was a great strike but it wasn’t anywhere near top corner. If you want Man City centre backs scoring in the top corner, see Kompany’s goal v Leicester. With Haalands strike it was the outside of his leg…. Still it was an obscene finish.
