    After 10 games .....

.... the League tells a story .... or so they say. We are in 21st position .... separated from the relegation zone on goal difference. Playing well apparently, poor refereeing apparently ... keep playing like that and things will come good ... apparently.

The only way things will come good is if we get shot of this clown manager, the managing director and the owner. Not gonna happen any time soon ..... so miserable season(s) ahead ... depressing being an Albion supporter these days ...

Those eight successive seasons in the Premier League are now a distant memory .... we didn’t know it then .... but those were the good times .... the Golden Age ...

I still feel we have the makings of a good team especially when everyone is fit. Rogic in particular will be a great addition. We had our best ever first 10 games last season and fell away to be rubbish. We have had a slow start this season, but I see us getting stronger the longer the season goes on and I am quite confident we will make the play offs!

Actually agree with your post billsbest.
Think it will end surprisingly well.

I’m obviously disappointed with our league position, but similarly consider we will finish in, or close to the playoffs.
Given the financial restraints, I also consider that we have completed a decent transfer result.
In the absence of a proven, available and willing candidate (Dyche?) Bruce is as good as we may expect…financial implications again.
The removal of Bartley will enhance the future - there will be a much better spirit now!

This is “rose tinted specs” stuff Paul.

Why is Bruce “as good as we may expect” exactly?

Four years ago Graham Potter was managing fishermen and whale hunters from the 4th division of Swedish football up to their premier division and into the Europa League and winning easily away at Arsenal.

I looked more closely into what he’s achieved and all of those facts alongside he was an ex Baggie made him a very good option for Albion in my humble opinion.

Our lack of forward thinking and planning really makes my urine boil.

There are some very obvious “open goals” that we miss.

Nathan Redmond and Demari Gray who we could’ve stolen from Blues, Ollie Watkins at Exeter or Brentford, Ivan Toney before Brentford signed him.......the list goes on and on of players us fans spot but our club seem incapable of noticing.

We are are bottom 7 club, I’m just not sure which of the bottom 7 positions we’ll end up in.

It’s not financial constraints for an up and coming young manager - look at hegginbottom at Sheffield Utd for example. Bruce and Son will be on a huge wage as was all the other dinosaurs we have appointed.

Don’t know how anyone can be happy with this:
Kipre, Carrol, Clarke, Sawyers, Robinson and Johnstone gone as well as talented youngsters on loan ie Taylor.

We have got freebies Swift - Wallace - Okay plus two free agents. I would say there’s been a significant saving on the pay roll between outgoings and incomings. Which pocket has the Robinson money gone in?

How can anyone honestly say we should make the play offs as the table never lies! Yes there’s been some decent matches but some absolutely garbage ones too!

To single Bartley out is unfair as whilst he’s crap - there are many like him including Reach - Philips - Livermore ( good one game every five ) - Button - Townsend - Furlong and Grant who is often invisible.

As for another talented youngster TGH - he will lose confidence soon being in and out of the team like a yo-yo!

Lai will never change with supporters content with s hite!

Yes, Mick, Potter’s progress has been remarkable but that doesn’t mean that he would have done as well with us. He has had proper backing at his clubs, something that has been lacking here with all our recent managers; remember also, at Brighton he had Dan Ashworth in the background. No manager will succeed at the Albion while that awful chinaman owns the club.

Well it is what it is now. We have made our bed and we must lie in it...
This is a crazy competitive league with a huge amount of twists and turns. We have an average team that may very well be mid table or may be not. But I really have to say with everything else going on in the world right now, I am not devoting anymore time to this situation, other then enjoy what I can of the games.
Life has many things going on for me at the moment and football results are down the line now for me....

Totally get where you are coming from Dubs........and yet

Inconsequential as football may in reality be, it still gives that inexplicable lift when I watch us play well or win games just as it can add to frustrations when we play badly or lose. Strange how some things we have absolutely no control over can lead to such heated debate and influence our mood 🤔

What puzzles me is that we looked more than half decent against Watford, Norwich, Burnley and Sheff.Utd. (League Cup), four of the best sides in the division, yet looked abysmal against the lesser sides. Is it concentration, motivation or what?
