Depends on how often you have to stop to push your glasses back up 😊 .

Re my own blood pressure. I'm 54, I don't smoke, I exercise most days and have a generally healthy diet all be it I drink a 'little' over the health guidelines. Latest home reading was today and I was quite chuffed with 112/65.

Might be what’s known as white coat stress Mick, if your BP is fine at home but high when the doctor takes it, talk to him about what you get when at home, possibly that’s the reason and means you are just stressed when at the docs?

I'll wager some of you hold a mirror under your nose to check if you're still breathing.
No point in living if you're only going to worry about it.

Under 135/85 is considered to be fine, add 5 to both numbers for white coat syndrome which is having your BP measured in any healthcare setting. A number of modifiable factors can improve your readings and cumulatively will of course add up to a better result:

    Giving up smoking
Maintaining a healthy body weight - BMI no higher than 25 unless you're made of muscle
Salt intake - salt is added to processed foods
    Exercise regularly
Cholesterol - furs up your arteries so BP goes up because the blood (liquid) is being forced by the heart through a narrower vessel, some folk are prone to making cholesterol even if their diet is low in saturated fat (which is fat that is solid at room temperature)

    Hope this helps.

You forgot the most important one WCV - don't watch the Baggies! My wife goes into the other room when they are on the box and offers me a chill pill.
