    Mesmerised is spelled mesmerised

In the same vein, cynical is spelled cynical

Still a pedantic ****er then? or is it the fact that your wrong so often that a little "victory" over a misspelling makes you feel good? I mean thanks for pointing it out and if it makes you feel good then I'm happy to have made your day. As the saying goes little things please little minds.

Easy tiger, any ‘sentient’ being would see. It was just a bit of idle joking,if I’d been caught like that I’d have just replied with lol

Anyway...moving on. Caught occasional snippets of yesterday on the TV. We seem to do these things very well although it did seem an odd mix of pageantry and solemnity.

Maybe more to the point...can I now switch the news back on without everyone being dressed in black, and wearing their serious and solemn masks, and can we begin to reconsider our ‘new’ PM’s (remember her?) stance on such inconsequential matters as Ukraine, the cost of living crisis and how we’re going to afford to stay warm and move about?
Interesting thing down here...each time I’ve filled the car up with petrol that already costs a little less than in the UK they then give me some money back. I think it’s a Spanish government initiative and I haven’t worked it our precisely but it seems that what I pay on my card is about 5% less than the original pump price. Every little helps!

Have you ever considered staying there if this country is such a broken down mess? Or would Brexit prevent that too? But beware the grass doesn't stay greener for ever, especially in a Mediterranean climate.

Pedro Sanchez, Maria Montero and the coalition might soon become the latest target of wrAth.

To quote our esteemed leader...’easy tiger’. All I’ve done is point out the Spanish response to the fuel crisis. I don’t recall referring to the UK as a ‘broken down mess’. I just happen to have come across another government’s response to increased fuel prices and thought, in the circumstances, it might be of relevance.

Just a question, as I know many people retire to Spain who are not affiliated to crime.

Question as to whether you'd though of retiring to Spain.....you seem to enjoy the place. Personally I've never liked it...
