I'd say that Edwards was an MM signing and maybe Sibbald is a JR signing but the rest are down to Fat Tone - good or bad.
When you say 'down to' though, what are you meaning exactly? He sources them, runs the rule over them and then decides if they're good enough or not? I can't believe that for a second. I don't believe he has the final say on whether the players are good enough or not. If so, we're wasting a hell of a lot of money employing a recruitment team if that's how we operate.

Fat Tone has undermined our display teams efforts to get a significant amount of fans in the Shed so not to give it to the Sheep and they succeeded but ye fk them.......you love a few hundred in the Shed so have you not got something to say about this? He's more or less fkd these guys over, the same guys that put their own time and effort into putting on these excellent displays that we all appreciate. What a pap.

Yes I don't agree with that if that's the case, the sheep should not be in the shed, should be same as the last Tannadice game with them, they had the jk and fair play, wasn't even aware of the arrangements for that fixture, that does wind me up as whether we have 1 or 400 in the shed, should not come into it, I would not have them chunts in the shed full stop and it's out of touch from them to go that way, and annoying if he has changed any agreement why the display team (who are class and do a great job), however not exactly to do with my overall opinion on the club and wider job they've done

Recruitment has been more positive than negative since the owners with TA came in though that's the thing

Even a Sporle served his purpose for a couple years and not the worst signing in the world, from the first transfer window where the foundation layed to get out the 2nd tier the next season to now we are much better, could only had dreamed of a Levitt and beating AZ at home at the point we sacked Czaba and appointed Neilson,we've came a long way, should not lose sight of this, this is only season 3 back in the big league

Long way to go aswell, talk of us being doon is very premature

Surely any manager worth their own reputation couldn't have ran the rule over these 2 goalies?do we have a recruitment team or is that just modern jargon for a scout nowadays?

I honestly don't know why people make such a big deal about who's responsible for the signings. You'd think we were the only team that operates this way or something. Tony Asghar gets it in the neck for everything that goes wrong but gets absolutely no praise for everything that's gone right so far. Up until Jack Ross's tenure everything was moving upwards, there's no getting away from that. Now a few (admittedly horrible) results and people are tearing into the guy again, when for me it's obvious that Jack Ross just wasn't a good fit and broke what only needed tweaking slightly rather than fixed. Now we are like a meccano set without instructions. Maybe Tony could be blamed for bringing in Jack but there weren't too many that disagreed with it at the time. People also complain when we promote from within of course, and call it the cheap option. Then the same people complain about the clubs finances at every turn. I'm willing to see if the new manager can turn us around, although a longer trial would have been preferable if I'm honest.

Inaction and inadequacies of the other teams meant we finished 4th. Not what the head in cloud brigade on here want to believe.
I don't think many if any hate Tony but more a case if just dont rate him.
Last season's poor teams took action whilst Tony was dining out on getting Europe and thinking mission accomplished. He's been caught out and time will tell if he's been found out.
Tony has to go if Fox doesn't work out.

I agree with most of what you are saying ADS but TA has been given credit when he has seemingly got it right. IMHO I thing TA is a victim of his appearance and demeanor. That isn't right but it's the world we live in now. I find it hard to warm to the man but I admit it's because I am looking for a scapegoat for the basket case our club has become. I don't have a clue what goes on behind the scenes at Tannadice but TA is a big target when it isn't going well. I'm pretty sure the negativity and rumours concerning him is water off a ducks back.

A lot of folk do seem to claim to know exactly what goes on behind closed doors at Tannadice. It'd be interesting to know how to be honest.

He's had praise from some, but from others he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I think his hun connection and being ex police probably make him easy not to like too. His body shape being targeted is a bit unfair but I'd be a hypocrite if I said I'd never called someone a fat ******* before

So has the Biro gone away home or is he still here recovering from injury?
