O/T Airport closure

Wizzair pulled out of DSA because the landing charges were too high for the budget airline to operate viably.
Apparently the high costs imposed by Peel for using DSA are also the reason other airlines do not use the airport.
It does make you wonder whether this was a deliberate strategy aimed at making a closure decision inevitable so they could pursue their objective of building on the land as happened at Sheffield.

Nailed it. Sad to say I’ve been saying this would happen for a couple of years within my aviation photography circles. Not at all happy to be proven right. A public inquiry is warranted imo.
