I love this story in the Grauniad,
"‘Perilous’ shortage of homecare workers leaves patients trapped in hospitals
Exclusive: almost one in four people unable to be discharged were waiting for home care, data reveals"
https://www.theguardian.com/society/...d-in-hospitals
Yes of course this is a serious problem for the NHS, they can't discharge older patients because the Care Sector can't take them. This is the inevitable outcome of the decision to sack 40,000 care workers who refused to be vaccinated. The Tory government, the Labour and LibDem opposition and the media, including and especially the BBC, insisted this was the right thing to do, as Care Home residents had to be protected and vaxxed care workers would be protected themselves and therefore would not/could not pass the virus on to the residents.
All well and good, except that, even at the time they were being sacked, it was acknowledged that the vaccine did not prevent infection or transmission. So god alone knows why they were sacked, for no good reason that is certain, and as a result the care sector and NHS is now in crisis.
To get back to the beginning, what made me smile in the Grauniad piece, is the fact that, despite several reasons being proffered for the shortage of care workers, the main reason, that 40,000 were sacked off for no good reason less than a year ago, is nowhere mentioned in the piece, it's as though it never happened. Lefties re-writing history again, as well they might in this case, the Grauniad was one of the most vociferous in demanding that non-vaxxed care workers were sacked. Now they pretend it never happened, move along please, nothing to see hear.
