Someone I know very close to the club told me yesterday that Doris is off to Derby.Apparently they've never heard of green tea down there!

Don’t know who has done anything wrong if anyone.

If it’s to do the ambiguity of the wording then surely both parties should be ensuring that it is clear. Although it is Exeter who have announced it.

It may turn out to be something else. Only time will tell.

Different things possible, holding things up, I think 1 main reason a young manager faces is moving the family from somewhere where they are settled, with the main thing being children moving schools, losing their mates, big difference I would expect in a day out between Exeter & Rotherham.

Matt Taylor wants to bring is own back room staff like P/W did at Derby.Derby paid compensation for this so we should but does T/S want it on the cheap.T/S knew they were all under contract.Just get on with it & go for somebody out of contract.Exeter have said the compensation was for Taylor only if you want them all pay up.

I’d prefer it if we fetched a different goalkeeper coach in tbh but if he wants him here then so be it

Agreed,Taylor’s not been a manager long it’s only natural he wants people he knows & trusts around him.We are going into another league game with out a manager if we lose Wednesday we will be dragged into the bottom half.

Wow, did Tony Stewart tell you all this or was it Doris the tea lady?

In this instance RUFC, and TS, are not in the wrong. In fact nobody is really in the wrong (perhaps Exeter jumping the gun yesterday morning with their tweet). The issue is that the goalkeeping coach that Taylor wants to bring with him is dual registered as a coach and a player with Exeter. If/when he leaves to join us Exeter lose a goalkeeper and, because the transfer window is shut, could struggle to bring in a replacement. With us he will only be a coach, not a player. So dispensation needs to be sought from the EFL to allow for an emergency signing in order to protect the integrity of the competition (league 1).

It's admin/red tape stuff. It has nothing at all to do with Wilder (although the timing was brilliant). It has nothing to do with agreeing wages, or compensation. Believe it or not, even RUFC can double Taylor's current wage (probably triple it) - and the compo we received from Derby was, shall we say, "healthy".

Surely we can still fetch manager and assistant in and wait for the keeper coach to be sorted ?

Yeah I saw the gk coach situation mentioned by an Exeter fan and assumed that was it. Was fun seeing all the theories though.

And I read somewhere £800k compensation from Derby but no idea if that’s right. Would seem about fair though without knowing the contract details.
