His problem is that he is playing in 2022. No more tackles. Can't do it. West Brom are appealing this one, and so they should. Sheffield Utd looked rubbish last night, playing like the away team, cautious bordering on scared. After the goal and down to 10 men they still didn't look like they were the team with 11 players. We pressed and they scored. Common scenario. Oh and then Billy sharp is hailed as some incredible forward when he didn't do much. By the way I'm echoing my mates comments (From Sheffield Utd looked rubbish)who watched the match with me. He supports Arsenal.

Nobody has seen more desire and effort than last night in the last 10 games under Val. That’s relegation form!

Livermore is NOT totally committed in the tackle as he goes in like an elephant and usually two feet first. Pity someone does not do the same to him!!! It’s f uckin irrelevant that it’s 2022 - what other useless turd tackles like that? There’s no need for it!!! Livermore lost us the game and the w anker should apologise to all those travelling fans. I really hope the appeal is turned down and would say the majority who go to the matches think the same.

Billy Sharp was good because he’s made to look good with the clear lack of quality within our squad! Poor defence - midfield pedestrian and attack who couldn’t hit a barn door!

You weren’t there last night and I was so why do you think the travelling support applauded the players and Bruce at the end? Because for once in 3 months they tried to play football and were let down once again by a useless
T wat who was past it 2 years ok!

Timing is everything - if you are Livermore you can break someone’s legs in a tackle - if you are Diangana - you dither for a minute and chance gone - if you are Ajayi you are in no man’s land and aged players like Billy Sharp will look like Messi against you!

As many said last night - it was pointless signing Dike when we don’t have a decent midfielder. Reach is a complete excuse for a player!

In summary - Bruce was mad to take the job and there’s no quality within the side. End of!

Seems like there’s a bit of bitterness from other supporters about Bruce. With respect - who gives a flying f uck with regards their bitterness. They are still bitter to vent their feelings on this board!

As for Livermore - where’s the apology for being an absolute c unt once again? Maybe Livermore should offer refunds to all the travelling support as the match was lost on the 39th minute when yet again he showed what a complete waste of space he has become.

I hope Livermore now does one as he’s not wanted anymore and the bitterness last night with the supporters towards him was vocal!
I didn't see the game last night Al, some fans were saying that the red card was harsh, Albion are appealing.
Having seen the replay it was a red card all day long in my book. Totally unnecessary and not the first time he has been sent off with no threat to our goal.
Having watched great captains like Wile and Williams he isn't fit to lace their boots.
God knows how he got seven England caps and Bomber only got one.
Not mentioning his name because it doesn't deserve to be known.

I’d rather see Darren Bradley as captain than our present incumbent Des, at least you got 100% from him despite the lack of quality.

John Wile though, my god what a giant of a bloke.

Surely Ally Rob would’ve been captain for 15 years if Wile hadn’t been around, another colossus.

We were spoiled by having that pair through the 70’s and early 80’s but also by having Martyn Bennett come through at that time.

I couldn’t split that three in terms of ability and commitment and leadership.

Message to our recently departed manager........if you’re going to insist on a back three you need to make sure your choices match the three above!

I think we could’ve played that system in 1980-81 Val........but not since!

Totally agree with all that Mick. Remember seeing John Wile at Highbury v Ipswich in the Semi Final at Highbury and he had that nasty head wound and carried on. What a giant Wile was and today's players would be on the floor for 10 minutes.

Awful day though that Semi Final - losing and at the end of the game I was attacked by some QPR scum who chucked me through the window of the shop Chelsea Girl ( called then ) and I ended up in hospital with stitches. Long journey home!

Bang on AL , we will win games with this squad under Bruce but how many not enough I fear , & it is having no quality that will kill us , play offs at the very best & wouldn't fancy our chances in them , my opinion of course.
