    Unbelievable Jeff!!
They withdrew the offer from the table at beginning of the week, that had been on offer since the Summer. Sommat don't add up.
Hopefully their points tally at the end of the season

There’s been a fair few calling for his head in recent games. Benitez would have been poison and I doubt would have seen the season through. It’s a brave move, I do like Cooper which really conflicts me but boy has he got a job on his hands.

    Spend £150m. Check.
Win 1 of first 9 games. Check.
    Give manager contract extension. Check.
    Sack head of recruitment. Check.
    Sack head of sacking. Check.

Yup sounds good to me. Carry on....

What a bizarre way to run a football club. Keep it up Marinakis!

I caught the last 20 minutes of the game against Villa on Monday and it was turgid stuff - a reminder of how many attritional, unattractive games there are in the Premier League between struggling sides desperate to avoid relegation.

I wonder how enjoyable the experience must actually be for fans of these clubs in the bottom half (being given the runaround by the top sides, with little hope of competing; scrapping for points against rival mediocrities). Ditto those yo-yoing between the Premier League and the Championship like Norwich and Watford. But this is the set-up the Premier League has willingly created.

I’d rather be where they are instead of watching Notts beat Woking in front of 3k fans.

It’s not a Premier League creation. It’s been around for decades that clubs will find a natural division to be in that is tough. Look at the league we are in at the moment, teams with dosh at the top end, teams with no dosh struggling at the bottom - Torquay included.
It’s been said on here that our ‘Natural’ league position is probably L1 - with some saying bottom part of Championship. Would any of us take a season or 2 watching Notts scrap for points to stay in the Championship? In a heart beat IMO. I’d say Forest are Championship, bottom part of Prem. That’s not hindsight, it’s decades being one of the biggest clubs in the Championship. It was always likely at some point they’d hit jackpot, and they have.

If i wasn't a Notts fan I'd have no problems being a 'yo-yo' club getting promoted then getting relegated every few years, that sounds awesome to me. I bet baggies fans would snap your arm off to get back to that label.

I believe our natural position in top half of L1 with aspirations for Championship.

Have to say I was quite surprised by Huddersfield fans at Wembley at the PO final against the reds, most of whom I talked to were saying they would prefer not to go up…..

Why? Because they didn’t want to watch their team getting beaten week in week out. They’d seen that for the previous seasons.

Having sold 2 of their best players to the reds. They are now second bottom of the championship.

    Strange world.
