As an infrequent visitor to the place, with no emotional connection to it whatsoever, I often feel the residents of Aberdeen are a little harsh on it. Union St doesn’t look great but that’s the same with every town and city across the uk. Aberdeen looks lovely

The team are f*cking sh1t though

Is the correct answer. All us old cvnts remember the halcyon days you would spend your entire day in your city centre (Robert Rae’s, Radar’s, One UpWoolies, The Rubber Shop, the joke factor, etc and then go into the posh shops of Etam’s and Fraser’s for us Aberdonians). Online shopping (greatly exacerbated by lockdowns) has ripped the heart out of every city centre in the world.
The trick is to have a visionary local council who can foresee these things and plan for the future rather than sticking down 10ft wide fvcking pot plants.
