Coalville are currently 3rd in their league (one of many at 7th tier level).
Don't know what Salford's position was in their league when they beat us as a 7th tier club but they were promoted at the end of that season via the play offs after finishing 3rd.

Havant & W were tier 6 when they knocked us out. Kettering and Southport both 5th tier.

Rhyl, Bath and Runcorn was pre-pyramid days but two of them were playing in the Cheshire league.

I know I’m supposed to be angry about that, but I’m just not really. That many changes was a risk but I’d have done the same. We’re all in on the league this season and that’s fair enough I think, easily see something similar happening in the trophy.

Performance was unsurprisingly disjointed and slow but it was also one of those classic cup shocks where the smaller side had three shots and all three went in, such is life.

Did I or did I not say we should play our strongest team? Eh? Eh? Eh? Did I? Did I?

    Kind of.

I still wouldn’t have though probably, even if I knew we were going to lose.

One positive out of today - Southend went out as well, so we’re both free on first round day and could move the Tuesday night game there forward. Be a much easier trip for us than midweek, get them a bigger crowd and free up a bit of fixture congestion cos we’ve got a lot of midweek games coming up.

Salford were 59 places behind Notts when they beat us, so that's more than Coalville who are 51 behind. Salford would have been lower in the 7th tier table, but what they've gone on to do since makes that result look somewhat less awful.

And me Sir! Play your strongest available team for at least the 1st half and see where you go from there. Anyone else? I think there were a few more?

So Coalhole are at an equally low level to any other team who has knocked us out of the FA Cup?

On today's showing, (Board consensus), Mitchell, Taylor, TAR, Francis.... TAXI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’m with Jacob.
I can’t get angry about that because I’d rather have lost than risk injury to our better players. I’m not embarrassed, I don’t blame the manager, I’m just really not that bothered.
My only concern is it highlighted that we’re a couple of injuries away from having to field some poor players.
Mitchell, Francis and Castro were simply awful. I keep trying to convince myself there’s a player in Francis but he seems determined to prove me wrong. Mitchell just seems to hide, isn’t strong enough and offers literally nothing. Castro doesn’t move the ball quick enough and picks wrong options.

I thought TAR wasn’t too bad and Taylor didn’t look match fit.
