I reckon Wolves' admin is the man or woman of the match today

I particularly liked the “Have a safe trip back Notts Forest” extra bit of trolling behind the felled tree.

A tiny bit of consolation, and when you lose as badly as we did today you have to grasp things like this. The PL table looks good, even if they win at Brighton on Tuesday they will still be in the relegation zone.

    Next 3:

    Brighton A
    Liverpool H
    Arsenal A

It doesn't get any easier for them, does it?

"Wolves' match-winner Ruben Neves alerted his team-mates to the pre-match social media wind-up that backfired badly on Nottingham Forest at Molineux.

In the build-up to their 1-0 defeat, Forest's official Twitter account posted a mock-up picture of striker Emmanuel Dennis sat on the pitch at the City Ground with three wolf cubs calmly sat with him, with the caption 'Playtime'.

The post was subsequently deleted, but not before Neves had forwarded it to the Wolves squad.

Neves went on to score the only goal from the penalty spot to lift Wolves out of the relegation zone and leave Forest bottom of the Premier League.

Wolves then posted 'Playtime's over', together with a picture of an axe embedded in a tree trunk.

"Yes, we were aware of it," said Wolves interim manager Steve Davis. "We were going to use it in the talk but Ruben said he put it on the players' chat so I didn't need to say any more.

"Those sort of things used to happen on the pitch. That doesn't happen so much now, but it gave us an edge."

I heard this earlier but thought the original post was just on the player’s account - so misguided at best. The fact that F***** posted on their official tw@tter shows a real lack of class in their media team. They deserve the ridicule that followed.

I actually hated that as there is only one Notts and hate anyone referring to them as that.

And in black and white as well adds to the amusement.

Fair to say I am revelling in watching their season capitulate into a complete embarrassment. From the moment they signed Lingard it was pretty obvious to me this was going to be a comedy show. 80k a week for that. My lord what has the world come to. They are going to have a very rough time ahead of them rebuilding this horror show what a shame NOT.

I'm trying hard to take a balanced view on Florist's disastrous start to life in the top flight but there can't be too many Notts (and Derby) fans who aren't loving it at the moment? I say at the moment because Steve Cooper achieved miracles with them last season so he might yet get them sorted. Right, that was the balanced bit. Now IMHO the Greek owner is clearly the problem with his inability to let Cooper do his job. I think I know why he bought Forest in the first place but I can't understand why he hasn't been found out yet. Of course money talks so maybe it's as simple as that. Here's another balanced bit. Isn't it remarkable how their fans turn up rain or shine win or lose to watch them get stuffed? By all accounts they look an absolute shambles and yet they still attract an apparently very loyal following. Perhaps things will change if they hit Christmas with no improvement in sight.

Considering they have by premiership standards had an easy run of games and still have 6 points there is an excellent chance they will have the worst ever premiership season on record. I am very much hoping that is the case. Cooper did an amazing job last season no doubt but he is no premiership manager. Find the new contract thing weird. Assume the old one didn't have a release clause with just 3 months payout in it and the new one does but dummied up as a new contract.
