    Yarm's Assessment & Last Night

Goes back to Yarm's assessment which was spot on and proven after last night - we really are a poor team! It also demonstrates all the blame can't be just on the managers ie Val and Bruce!

Last night we were poor against a bang average side in Bristol whose away record was shocking. Even the Bristol supporters were taking the p iss because they were beating us!

How does Phillips and Townsend get anywhere near that team? The problem with a caretaker manager like Beale and assisted by Brunt and Morrison - they can see through the eyes of the sacked manager and are chums of the old players ie Livermore, Phillips, Bartley etc!

No cutting edge - defending was shocking ( O'Shea and Townsend especially ) - Livermore is past it - Phillips is s hite and oh my god - we can't even cross the ball!!!

Asante works hard but for me he's a league 1 players and no physical threat. Thought Cleary looked more of a threat when he came on.

Sure Yarm said this squad would be fighting against relegation and this would be a correct assessment from last night! What was the crowd as never seen so many empty seats? Only missed the Reading away match but to be honest - don't have any appetite to go any time soon ( even if free ) after last night.

Can't see what a lower league manager can do with this lot as it needs a huge clear out from top to bottom. Beale saying the players are hurting - but my god they can't even do the basics like crossing!

If ( again ) any body wants to defend last night ie good Bristol side then they are deluded and this is why West Brom will continue to sink lower. Crowds are disappearing as are the away support which is normally excellent.

The silence on the new manager recruitment is typically West Brom - s hite! Is Fat Ron trying to have an extra lengthy process because he knows he's liable for appointing his mate Bruce without no recruitment process?

The club really is shambolic! How many chances last night?

Round pegs in round holes, playing Phillips as right back was a disaster and IMO he was so badly out of position for both goals which came from that side. Why do the people picked to manage on match days not see what me a layman can, we really need to go back to basics at the back and play players correctly, not rocket science!
    Roy Hodgson as caretaker anyone?

I think that last night's performance finally convinced me that this squad isn't as good as many think, and I include myself plus quite a few respected pundits in this. A very ordinary Bristol side comfortably won this game. They were very organised defensively and lively and inventive in attack. I thought that our defending was shambolic and looked like we could concede every time that they attacked. Going forward we were ponderous and lacked any creativity. I was quite impressed with Cleary when he came on but overall extremely depressed by the performance

The new manager, whoever he may be, has got a massive job on his hands. I have consistently wanted a young and up and coming man to take over but I now feel that it needs someone with experience like Dyche to sort this lot out!!

Really…!!!? The place looked half empty, did someone say that they count all ST holders, whether they attend or not? Looked more like 16,000 to me.

I said around 15,000 but never over 20,000. This is what s hite performances do and less and less will go!

That's correct assessment Ketts. ST holders included if they turn up or not.

Def agree about our squad LB, I had us as 16th in the table, maybe I was overly optimistic…

Last night was especially disappointing because I went feeling optimistic after Reading!

An extremely dangerous mindset prior to watching Albion.
