We are pretty poor this season....it happens! There is signs of improvement but the league table doesn't lie. Unless we are sitting safe in the top 6..then we are in a relegation battle. Anybody that has watched us and doesn't think that we are in a dagerous position is delusional. That isn't a swipe at the team or the players and a defeatist attitude....that is just reality! I want nothing more than us to go on a long winning streak and get us into the European places but to do that, we need to win games. I am hopeful that we can stengthen in the January window which might give us a wee bit of hope but that is always a dodgy window.
Not saying you are wrong. Frankly have you no idea where we will actually finish. I do still feel we will be a top six side and definitely have the quality to be there. Know you are hoping the same but feel less optimistic (perhaps more realistically!)

Would be delighted to wager a beer on it though?!

I thought Killie were the better organised team, far more up for it than United were. I watched the game, and yes we did have our spells of domination and moments, but in the main I was very much in the 'hoping for the best, but fearing the worst,' situation. In my opinion, Killie deserved their win. If we do not improve, then I think we will head south again.

The impression i got from watching some of that last night, i really thought we were making it look like we were putting in just enough effort to make it look good and fall out the cup gracefully. Either that or the players were just done in with their 4th game in 10 days. I just hope they can turn it back on at the weekend as we need to get out of this cut throat relegation battle.

Was working last night but just watched that back. Killie were the better team by some distance. 3-1 wouldn't have been an injustice.
I thought it was an awful performance, really awful. Flat, uninspiring, lacking creativity apart from our goal.
Several things struck me. In the third game in 10 days you're never going to get the same high performance levels even over the first 60/70 minutes so for me it's not hindsight to say we should have freshened it up for kick off.

It was obvious their height advantage up front would cause us problems so I'm at a complete loss why Graham didn't come in to help counter that. They kept pumping crosses in, pretty obvious they'd get success with that at some point. The terrible surface suits players who can play it short and Meekison would have been ideal for that. But we played it long a lot, lost possession a lot, played it high a lot, couldn't compete, which completely played into their hands. This is on Fox. Also on Fox is making subs far too late. Should have made changes at HT when it was obvious we were getting run over. And how is Cudjoe getting on before Sadat, mindboggling.

Levitt, there's something wrong there, don't know if it's because he's being played so deep, or actually it's dummy out about being asked to play so deep. Djoum, who in an interview said the manager wants him to anchor the midfield, played ahead of Levitt.
And it looked a mess. A very poor performance from Levitt.

A kick in the balls especially for all the travelling fans and all United fans.

Very disappointing because that match was there for us but Fox chucked it their way imo.

I dont think Djoum can play the anchor role until he has a few games under his belt so Levitt has that task in Sibbalds absence for the time being. Then there is the World Cup factor as i think Levitt has been playing well within his abilities and that will get worse until his last game before the break, thats if he keeps being played!

Think there's a typo in my post, 4 games in 10 not 3. Lose the post if I try to edit on mobile.
Just in case there's any pendants around😂
Re Djoum, CDM if the rest of the team is doing their jobs is arguably easier than CM.
Plus should only have been needed for 60 minutes. With limited game time under his belt how was he getting 90 minutes.
I think Fox completely messed it up if I'm being totally honest. Very naive. His selection for Saturday is V1tal now.

Not too fussed about losing as we need to concentrate on the relegation fight.

Also, the chances of us beating either of the infirm in the final would be very slim.

Need to stop this phuking about at the back pish though. That worked out well for Mixu and Utd eh. Cease this crap forthwith thanks.
Why is this even a thing at our level? We have tried this in the past & it has never worked. It just gets us hemmed in & unable to progress up the park & any mistakes are happening right in front of our goal leading to panic & desperate challenges. Its crap.
