    Sunak

I didn’t agree with some of his tax policies for the rich. However, as has been said on here he’s far more competent than what’s we’ve faced so far. There’s all this non dom wife - how much of this could he have helped? How do you go an tell your in laws? lol
He is wealthy already which mean he could well be out of touch with the poorer in our society. He back stabbed Boris blah blah. I’m not a fan of Sunak but at least speaks with some clarity and some competence.

Anyway with all that said - why the hell is this guy getting a barrage of racial abuse? I watched a quick snippet on LBC that some tory caller didn’t like that he’s brown and his loyalties lie elsewhere. This guy just couldn’t accept it. Sunak was born in Britain, raised here.. served as chancellor.. but yet that’s not enough or as a pledge allegiance.. wtf? It is these types of voters that have caused chaos and embarrassment to the country.

I fear for Sunak, he’ll be made a scapegoat- it’s all a plan.

I said during the early days of Covid that Sunak was very obviously a PM in waiting.

I thought he had all the tools necessary to lead the party and the country but for me, the “Non Dom” stuff with his wife put an end to this.

I thought it was a naive and arrogant position to put himself in.

A decision should’ve been made between him and his missus prior to him becoming an MP or as soon as he did as to her tax status.

They should’ve decided to either front up about it and for her to pay her taxes here or to see what a s h I t storm it caused at that point and decide never to bother aiming for high office.

If I’d been in that position prior to running for Parliament it would’ve been a decision between not running or my wife changing her status.

It’s naive to think it won’t get noticed at some point or just sheer arrogance to think it won’t matter, a lack of basic nous.

As I said the other day, in the position he now dings himself, the very least him and the wife can do is to set up a charity for the homeless and commit to donating millions of £’s to it for the rest of their lives.

It won’t happen of course but it should.

But surely the above should still not be a reason why he should get racial abuse Mick.

He’s not the only tory doing absurd things and perhaps taking advantage. I hope those attacking him for this non dom stuff would do so in the same vein as with the rest of tory party and how they are ‘grabbing opportunities for themselves’.

    Let’s see…

J Grease Mogg and his energy connections and russian company links

    Liz Truss - Petrol companies

Mat Wan clock - pub mate

Boris - writing a column in some paper?? Should you have a second job when you are a PM or Cabinet minister?

    I could go on.

The point i’m making, why don’t these get attacked as much as Sunak? Where do their loyalties lie? rather than lining their own pockets. It should be National Interests first. This should be made law for any politician with a strict punishment- jail.
But it is same ol same ol.. Sunak will be made a scapegoat once he has fulfilled the objectives of the individual tory party members.

I meant to amend my original reply Regis, you’re quite correct.

His skin colour shouldn’t be an issue n any way whatever.

Truth is, it should be a massive electoral bonus

Regardless of what people feel about the Tory party they’ve had three female Prime Ministers and are about to have the first of ethnic heritage, this should be a plus.

Quite how Sunak has managed to spoil this advantage for himself via his wife’s tax status is quite ridiculous.

As for Tory voting racists though, I think you’ll find there’s just as many racist dinosaurs who vote Labour.

Horrible back stabbing snake!! Mrs Sunak will be licking her lips at making more millions with his new connections and the softly softly approach with Putin so she can restart her financial affairs in Russia!

Wish my Mrs could avoid inheritance tax on one property let alone numerous million pounds luxury pads they own!

I am sure Sunak already worth millions and millions will want to donate his meagre PM salary to food banks. Surely!!!!!!!

Which is why, IMO, PM was 'invited' to withdraw. I don't think for a minute the Shires would vote for Richi Rishi. There will be a terrible gnashing of teeth over this in the court of Social Media
