I actually think he'll do well here, albeit I think it will take a while to get his principles embedded.

The problem and not the only problem is a set of players many aging, many who know their best days personally and professionally are behind them.
If Corberan wants high press these players can't and maybe won't deliver- Ismael is proof of that!
.So he will have to adapt his style, struggles through to January and then try to get a new breed in &that may take 3 windows.

And it needs vision in recruitment- like looking for talent in lower and even non-league- players who see us a big step up or quality loan signings by showing a style that makes premier league managers think we would be a good place for a loanee to play and learn. Not has beens who see us as a last pay day

Will this newlook happen? - oh yes - just seen a pig fly by but more likely like Ismael the old guard will do for him

Saturday selection is crucial-we'll know a lot more about his courage, vision and determination not from the result but from team selection

COYB- a new day needs to dawn!!!!

I see your point, but you have to start somewhere with a blueprint - a blueprint we have needed for a while.

The ageing players are peripheral in the team like Phillips, Livermore and Bartley. Peters is a temporary squad filler as is Kelly. Other than that our squad isn't that old. Mulumby, TGH, O'Shea, Dike, Diangana, Cleary, Asante and Grant under 25. I can see Wallace fitting into the system well although I'm not sure on Swift. We need a manager who wants to play some younger lads as we have a PL2 side doing well.

Taking your point about Val, it did work at first but petered out. I do wonder how he would have faired if given time as the replacement was a disaster. Swansea have struggled under their manager but held on and now they look a decent side, playing aan attractive brand.

Hopefully he is given time and transfer windows, very little will change until the deadwood is got rid off, then he can be judged, good luck Carlos

No money to spend so maybe 2 months? If by some miracle we get a run of wins, who knows?

I still think we will see the same old faces on Saturday as he has not had time to decide on players as yet. So expect to see Livermore etc for at least one or two games.
