You're not going to change the hearts and minds of individuals by constantly sniping at them and telling them they can't think for themselves. Many have grafted hard and contributed throughout their lives. Helped fund your education.

You can't deride everyone because they don't have the same IQ as you. The media certainly is a massive influence but I think you're extremely dismissive of people's own life experiences. You don't know what's happened to them or what's contributed to their mindset. They want their life's to be better and they want to look after their families.

They have the same number of votes as you do. You constantly saying you form your opinion from different sources is poppycock. Your mind's made up. Your views don't change.

It's let us all pay more because we can afford it. Well if I'm earning more than you, I'm already paying more than you and I don't want to pay more. I think too much of it goes to waste. You give more and catch up if you want. I'd rather give my surplus cash to help my own flesh and blood. Yet that makes me nasty, even though I contribute 10x more than you do.

I'll say it. Anyone who has made their own wealth and is paying full UK tax are not the people who should be targeted. I don't care who they are. If you don't think it's enough get a better job and do your bit. I've done my bit and get taxed accordingly. Every penny is paid to the HMRC.

Now if we're looking at the aristocracy who have inherited wealth through the ages, I have a different view. Tax dodgers, same view. Benefit fraudsters, same view. Overspending and waste, same view. I could go on and on. Get your politicians to sort that out instead of doing the usual. People are sick of it.

Just over half of adults pay income tax in this country. The burden can't be theirs and theirs only. Round in circles we go.
I think you're being a bit oversensitive here howdy. Crash didn't have to speak out his opinion on the less well off people. He chose to give his opinion, and I chose to rib him for it, as Grist does with anyone that he disagrees with. I don't recall you picking him up on his repeated 'Sheeple' attacks? I was very hurt you know. He's saying the same thing as me. Why is it different now? I'm sure crash can defend himself, just as we have to when Grist unleashes his barbed pearlers that no one in the world would have thought of but him!

So, bottom line is someone else will have to contribute more? As if you and I have been completely rinsed by the tax man! Have we cobblers! We're both fortunate to have earned well, we're both peed off with what we see around us and compared to some countries our tax contributions are relatively low. If we want better stuff, those that can afford it are gonna have to pay for it. Get yer hand in yer pocket yer tight get!

Affluent. Not all, obviously, but enough to encourage bullion traders to spend money on advertising.

    Affluent often equals Tories.

    Tories often equals right wing.

Right wing = GB news output

Most of the Labour front bench are millionaires. Labour millionaires and Tory multi-millionaires, you think any of them are on our side?

As for that gold bullion, it's just like those "we buy your gold" adverts, look at the other adverts on GB News, they're not aimed at the rich.

Gold bullion traders will watch Bloomberg and MSNBC.

I think we've more chance of changing things by voting Labour than Tory, but in essence you're correct. The current Labour front bench are a poor immitation of Blair/soft Tory i.e. not interested in getting to grips with the root of the problem.

The difference is there are plenty of ordinary people within the Labour Party who are.

If I want better stuff I prefer to simply earn it and buy it myself or if I feel like it, give it away to someone who deserves it. Once I've paid, income tax, corporation tax, dividend tax, value added tax. Go for the tax evaders before me. Legalise drugs and tax them. FFS just leave me alone yer scrounging git.

Where my tax goes and in many cases, gets wasted:

    Health (21.9%)

    Welfare (19.6%)

    Business and Industry (14.4%)

    State Pensions (10.1%)

    Education (9.6%)

    Transport (4.5%)

    Defence (4.5%)

    National Debt Interest (4.1%)

    Public Order and Safety (3.9%)

    Government Administration (2%)

Housing and Utilities, like street lighting (1.4%)

    Environment (1.3%)

Culture, like sports, libraries, museums (1.2%)

    Overseas Aid (0.9%)

UK Contribution to the EU Budget (0.6%)

I think they'll be done with within 15 years.

Maybe we should all sign this because they're all the same. Self serving.

There is an area where going after the wealth would work especially with a good percentage of the UK electorate , companies such as Shell and Centrica .

Increase the Windwall Tax on them significantly , however you increase the Windfall Tax on them if the profit is gained through the extraction of fossil fuels .

This would work like it does with a packet of cigarettes which is taxed high to try and motivate you to stop smoking or even start in the first place .

With that in mind and not wanting to turn it in to a witch hunt I'd offer generous tax concessions if they invest in the UK with sustainable Green Energy projects .
