Amazing what the big lad has done to be fair .

You can't compare a footballer now to what he was 3 years ago.

3 years is a long time.

I'm.sure you have differences now ymto 3 years ago.

The energy levels are being tested. At least we have an extra day before the Burnley match and as MT has said we could have Ogbene,Kioso,Bola Hall and possibly Ferguson back in the squad. With Humphreys out for a week, Hall coming back will be welcome.Having fresh legs is going to be important with this intense fixture list.I would possibly start with High and Lindsay at Burnley but what do we know?

There was no clamour for us to keep Yates, in fact one or two on here said they would drive him to Blackpool themselves.
He was poor for us and has done well for them just like Michael Smith was poor for Bury and did well for us. Football is like that sometimes.
Yep. I had no strong view on Yates but on the whole really couldn't see him scoring for us, in much the same way I can't see Eaves scoring for us, as much as we willed them to. My only memory of folk on here was a prolonged 'get rid'

Agree good sides let ball do the work. All about work rate here 2 games a week we can't maintain that work rate.

Unfortunately we haven't got the players who can pass the ball accurately and retain possession consistently and a few of them need two touches just to control it.
The only way we will survive in this league is with high energy performances but I'm not sure that is going to be MT's style so I don't know where we go from here.

I understand the budget argument and it is a major factor, it is a factor that is known by all those involved. However why do we need to have 6 CB's? Instead of getting 10 players, go for 6 or 7 with a bit more quality and use the academy to add to the squad. Nobody is saying it is easy and there are many factors that we are not aware of, but do you really think the outcome of that window is good? If so please explain why you think that, saying it is the best we could get is not an answer, because you do not know that.
It is what we could get................if not, we'd have got someone else a bit better and expensive...

If we'd signed 6 or 7 instead of 10 we'd would be in the deep stuff. We apparently have only a small squad, signing 6or7 would have made it smaller.

    Roughly translated.
I don’t know if the budget was wasted. Just thought I would say it cause I like Warne.

    Yes, very true

Some coaches can improve the technical skills of players, others can teach them how to run

Why did we agree to make this run worse by agreeing to play Sheff utd aswell? Surely there's plenty of other dates to play them?
