It is serious. This group of players can’t maintain anything. If they play well (like against Reading) it’s never followed up. Mentally it’s like they have nothing to give anymore. I do think that constantly changing managers which means systems, tactics, positions and whether you’re even a part of his plans or not can’t help having some sort of momentum. The team is in a bad place. There’s no money to do a major overhaul. We have a good chance of going into league 1. I’m past caring now because there’s nothing we can do about it. If Corberan can keep us up then he has to be left to build and not sacked and start again next season looking for a quick fix by gambling on another change. Stability is what is needed. 6 managers in 3 years is not good enough.

It wasn't the side that I would have selected but we can't judge Corberan on a couple of days on the training ground and one game. Let's see where we are after another haif a dozen games or so. I have to admit though that yesterday's performance was appalling. You usually get a 'new manager bounce,' but not from us.

The most erudite post I have read in a long time, sums up the club perfectly.
The players disgust me with their attitude

Now nobody in yesterday's team can't complain if they aren't in the side for the next game, he gave them that chance to impress him.
As for the formation he is known to be a 442 or 433 man. But I would think he asked the players where they feel the most comfortable playing, and said okay, go out and show me what you can do.
Those who have worked with him and know him say he is very abrupt, has no favourites, and are out if they don't do things his way. He has brought his own backroom staff for a reason.
To criticise him after 48 hours and one game is a bit fickle even for Albion fan's.
If he persists with the same players and formation I will agree we are heading for league one, but I don't think he will.
Yesterday's result has shown him the task he faces, a win would have probably been the worst result in regards to what he saw.
He comes highly rated by the likes of Bielsa and Guardiola, so he can't be a complete mug.
This season is all about survival and hopefully a comfortable mid table finish, then reassess and rebuild, providing he gets the backing.
But he turned Huddersfield around, saving them from relegation and then getting them into the play offs the following season on a shoestring.
Even if we did go down I would keep him, we have got a young and hungry one and not a dinosaur, we can't keep changing managers.
Strange times indeed. I find myself for once totally agreeing with 55's post.
It's how I suspected the first game to go. See it for yourself, I say.
Not looking for play offs here, just avoid relegation and establish a new low. Work from there....👍👍

Great to be out the bottom 3 and only 8 off the play offs.

    Keep it up Carlos.

Only 6 points off the play offs if we win our game in hand over the present team in fifth place on 32 points after 21 games.

This gap is almost nothing in reality with 26 games still to go, confidence high, Dike returning, four weeks for Carlos to get them fitter and tighter and with a January transfer window to come.

That last factor might be a negative though if that little runt decides to cash in on a few during the window.

Every silver lining has its cloud.

This is like 76 under Giles, we had a bad start and as Bomber said everything clicked it to place at Bristol city away.
Then nothing could stop us. It took to the last day at Oldham, but we done it.
For how bad its been , we have outplayed both Burnley and Watford.
    Onwards and upwards COYB
