Another sh*te memory along with the 1966 League Cup disappointment. I really thought we were going back to Wembley that day which was and still is completely unusual for me as ever since that QPR disaster I always expect to lose whoever we are playing.

Hi,we won the League cup in 66 beating the world champions over 2 legs, the 2nd leg was in my top 4 games.
It was 67 in the ist Wembley L cup, 2-0 up against QPR a double from Chippy second half Dick Shepperd got done by Rodney Marsh and went on to win 2-3. Think there was a row at halftime with Jimmy Hagen who later got the sack.

Sorry but we won the League Cup against West Spam in 1965. Lost to QPR in 1966 the year England won the World Cup.

No you ok I had to check, even though we lost and against Man city 3 finals and the 69 semi in 5 years.
Great time to be a Baggie and this was all before Chelsea had won their Ist FA cup, it took Man united in the 80s with big Ron to equal our 5 FA Cups.
