    Holidays with TUi.

My eldest daughter knows someone high up in the holiday trade who reckons things are dodgy at TUi.

I’m sure AL will have contacts in this regard but perhaps something to be aware of if you’ve booked with them or a planning a holiday.

Worked with them for over 20 years and have a decent pension. They have recorded record losses for almost a year now but would be surprised if they went bust as they are German owned and huge!

To be honest though there will be no tears from me as I was worked for Horizon Holidays with their HQ in Broadway Five Ways - Bham and Thomson ( now known as TUI ) took them over and decimated what was a lovely lovely company!

Anyone remember Horizon who owned Orion Airways? They were a pleasure to work with and I opened a number of resorts for them - Fuerteventura being one! What a company!!

Yes big brown building on the left on the island called Broadway - even now. At the bottom there was a travel agent too - Horizon Holidays and all the building was the HQ. Going back 50 years was probably about right! I worked there myself about 35 years ok!
