    Insurance Bet

Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love 'em. I couldn't resist this one on Sunday, Blackburn Rovers @ 5.7 on the exchange. This is giving them a 17/18% of winning the game and I'm not having that. They've won 40% of their away games, OK we haven't lost at home yet, but we've come close to it more than once, they have a far better than 18% chance of winning this, so I'm on.

If I lose the bet, couldn't care less, if they win, and spoil my weekend, at least I'll make some decent money out of it.

Oh so that's what hedging your bet is.Heads you win or tails you lose or Heads you lose tails you win.Depends whether you are a
glass half full person or a glass half empty person.Much to complicated for me,what happens if it's a draw?

barrie ---if it's a draw you then decide whether you drink the full half of the glass or the empty half, I hope that helps

If it's a draw I lose the bet, but that's fine, we haven't lost at home to the B@stards, and they're still below us in the league. That'll do me.

I've done likewise for the same reason sinkov. Also got money on Pakistan to win the T20. Hopefully two losing bets.

I'm not bothered about the cricket Warmy, but I often bet against our RU team, been quite profitable these last couple of years as well. Which isn't what we want is it, we don't want these bets to win, it just helps a bit when they do.

I am so glad Warminster that your hopes have been so delightfully fulfilled by 5 wickets and 3 goals respectively. A Barnes brace. Who’d have thowt it?
