    A Fabulous Day Out!

What a terrific day I’ve had made all the better for the company of friends both old and new and due also to a brilliant Albion performance.

Walking by the ground just before 12pm I was passed by an elderly gentleman in a leather biker jacket, a good job I recognised Kets as he’d clearly forgotten me!

Anyway, he proved valuable as he knew the “scenic view” along the rail tracks to The Vine.

What a superb pub and atmosphere, my first visit but definitely not my last.

Always fun to be in the company of BaggieAl and his son James, the lad is do good looking I think AL needs to get a paternity test done as it’s an impossibility that he could have fathered him!

If he did, AL’s missus must be a beauty of stunning proportions!

    DaveP67 was there as well.

You know how people usually don’t look anything like you think they will, this isn’t the case with Dave.....he looks EXACTLY how you’d expect, 7 feet tall, a mountain of a bloke and an absolute gent.

Nice to meet Stevi81 and his young lad and his dad and all of their crowd.

All topped off by a fantastic performance by a very, very good side.

With a bit of luck, continued fitness for Dike and a couple of January signings I think we’ll make the play offs.

I haven’t seen Albion that slick in possession and with movement and energy for many years, today’s performance was a joy to behold.

I’ll be back sooner rather than later.

Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a great day, including the scruffy sod from Harrogate!

    Not you Stevi!!

Yes, a very good day out. That’s the best I’ve seen Albion play for a long time, long may it continue.

Also good to put faces to usernames, very enjoyable chat in the Vine, pleased to meet you all.

As for not recognising Mick on Halfords Lane, firstly, I wasn’t expecting to see anyone I knew at that juncture but secondly and more pertinently, age is taking its toll……….

I noticed Corberan subbed the lower (Still ok) stat players on fotmob, so he definitely is a manager that notices energy levels and substitutes accordingly. Definitely a squad manager. Looks good. Glad you all had a great day.

Just got back and great to meet everyone in the Vine - Mick even wore his Sunday best!

Great performance - great effort and loved it. Asante has such quick feet and what a goal! Okay and Bartley completely solid!

I loved the desire to win! Off now for a glass or three of red!

Need to do this again guys!

A great to hear that Mick and delighted a good crew turned up. Capped by a very solid display all over the park.
Particularly impressed with Palmer again and he is getting some good coaching to go with his own experience. I see it helping Bartley and the rest of the defense. Three clean sheets is good going so quickly.
So I am delighted for you Mick as you have some stuff going on, which you posted about. Great to read such an uplifting post as above.
I hope you, me, and all Baggie fans can look forward to football on Saturdays like we use to.

    Thanks Dubs.

I was lucky enough to be able to sit in my old season ticket spot due to a vacant seat, I took much ribbing from the old regulars at my horrendous attendance record but I think they were all surprised and delighted at the calmer human being they had sat amongst them rather than the constantly angry f u c k wit they used to have to endure.

My only sadness on the day was finding out that one of my friends from the old lot had passed away from a brain tumour last year, Geoff was a fantastic bloke who I'd had a lot of laughs with down the years and I'll miss him when I do attend......some seats can never be filled, Geoff's is one of them.

Dubs......I really do hope that we can persuade you to come over for a match in the near future, perhaps at thestartof next season when it's the summer and the weather is hopefully decent?

I know your attendance would bring a lot of for members to a meet up.

Same with you Boingy as well, I think you'd enjoy The Vine even if you didn't feel able to be at the actual match?

Great to meet you all today, and indeed capped by a great performance.

I don't think the stats did us justice, on a different day we could have scored 5 or more and I didn't feel like they threatened at all with any gilt edged chances.

Felt we beat them in every position and the fight is back in all of our players, which is all I ever want to see.

I hope to be down again for another game soon, and may also be persuaded to join a few away games if they are uo North!

    Enjoy your Saturday guys

Great meeting your crowd as well Steve.

A northerly away match in the near future sounds like a great idea and an excuse for me to stay over in Harrogate.

BaggieAl is only downsizing from his 7 bedroomed mansion on millionaires row so that he doesn't have to offer me a bed for the night!!

I see we are at Sunderland on 12th December and I might think about that, a lot of my family were from Durham and supported Sunderland and I still have loved ones up that way. I've never been to The Stadium Of Light so the thought appeals.

I'm in Harrogate from 27th December for a week but sadly Harrogate Town are away twice that week so no opportunity to meet up there but maybe we can catch up at Fodder for a chat in regards to your I.T. skills as there may be something we could do with your knowledge and skills?
