More than once. I'll leave others to debate whether it was all three of them 😉 .

How long before we hear stories of different factions fighting for control of Iran and then witness boatloads of young men trying to get into the Eu and U.K. as Iran falls apart.

Gadafi, Assad, Saddam Hussain et al did a fantastic job of “controlling” tens of millions of people until “freedom” was sought by “the people”.

Freedom is hard to control in countries and societies that have had it for hundreds of years, including our own and most of Europe and now even in the USA.

Be careful what you wish for.
    Absolutely, spot on!

I see it as an evolutionary change, nothing more nothing less.
Nothing we can do collectively about it now. Been against evolutionary change means nothing to nature. It happens and thats all there is to it.
Evolution doesn't need a majority vote by humans to do anything. If you don't evolve or at least be prepared for change, then it's likely you won't make it.

That system looks shaky, same in Iran, same in Russia.
Strange driving force in the world at the moment.

I would love to see the back of a number of dictators - specifically Putin, Xi, the Ayatollah and that useless lump in North Korea. However, such changes are rarely without huge consequences and not just for the poor saps who have suffered under their dictatorship, so it’s not surprising that a lot of western leaders prefer the devil they know to the devil they don’t know. Its a tough one to call sometimes. Whenever there is a power vacuum created, the vacuum tends to suck in a lot of unwanted rubbish.
