An awful location selection. One of the those places, there are many in the world now, that you can end up in jail or beaten for some "minor offense". Truly scary when you think about it how little recourse you'd have if you got sucked up into the legal system at one of these banana republic places. Sometimes being the wrong place at the wrong time ruins your life. Of course, being in the wrong place at the wrong time in some "enlightened city" such as NY, Chicago, London or Rio can get you beaten, raped or killed as well. Instead of a legal system that "justice" is administered by a gangster or some politician or one of their kids.

However, some of the matches have been outstanding. Not many blowouts either.

I thought prem refs were bad until I saw this. Some very good refs but the ones that are not are so bad they have to be making big graft money.

However, VAR in the prem is much more corrupt than the world cup. it's the gold standard of corruption.
