Oops, Wholesaler Bought 18,000 Football Shirts, Celebrating England Winning World Cup

A wholesaler has bought 18,000 football shirts, celebrating England winning the
    World Cup 2022.
Managing director Karl Baxter of Wholesale Clearance U/K, was so confident in
England winning the World Cup 2022, he was approached by a supplier to buy
    the shirts, so he did.
    The football shirts read, -

" England World Cup Winners 2022, Its Finally Home ".

The red, white & blue classic football shirts were retailing at £29.99p each, but
the price has since dropped significantly, to get people to buy them, the price
now for each shirt is £9.99p.

Reminds me about the 1994 football World Cup in the USA, when England failed to qualify for it.

The England qualifying games in a group consisting, England, Norway, Netherlands, Poland,
    Turkey & San Marino.
Where as Norway & the Netherlands qualified for the 1994 World cup, England 3rd in the group.

We were on holiday in Florida September 1992, looking round there was football shirts with
different national football teams on, to which there was different England football shirts, with
England being in the USA for the 1994 World cup, so I bought some.

Then England failed to qualify in their 1992-93 group games, so the shirts, I gave away later.

It may just have been a speculative gamble by someone who was prepared to write off the losses. No one can be certain of who wins these tournaments, because thats all they are. Why most people evaluate them from a club and league perspective baffles me.The 'best' team very rarely wins especially when you consider most pundits were waxing lyrical about Brazil only last week. Italy won the Euros and couldn't even qualify for this.

If he'd had a word with me, Ii could have told him how it would go. England always find a way to lose.
