Sorry if it touches a nerve howdy, but if you fellas are going to insist that any opposing views to you all are brainwashed, or sheep, then I'll continue to point out that the views of the right side on this thread pretty much mirror exactly what is said on the mass media of the right. That simple.
Perhaps if you all actually agree that people on the right, left and middle are suscepible to bias confirmation from media sources, and that you will have genuine free thinkers on either side then we might get somewhere. For example, parroting the simple line that Sunak wasted lots of money on lockdown is a parroted view that echoes everyday on GB News, but many people of science and reason were in full agreement on lock down because there was a huge body of very pursuasive evidence that it was the best thing to do at the time. To simply dismiss anyone who agreed with this action, left, right and centre of being an unthinking sheep is clearly ridiculous but it doesn't stop Neil Oliver pushing that argument on a daily basis whilst permitting no oppositional viewpoint.
So it terms of expressed views on here, and the ability to back up views with reason when opposed, I'm afraid the lack of ability to do so when challenged by the likes of John and Kerr, and the frequent retorts to abuse rather than engaging with the opposing point, simply points to people parroting received views from their media sources, not the free thinkers to which the likes of Grist so painfully aspire to!
I just like the irony that freequently such people like to think of themselves as free thinkers when they are anything but, and dismiss opposition as brainwashed whilst been unable to engage with their oppositional views. It's quite sweet.
