Wouldn’t say backwards but no further on. What he did give us was better attacking style than Ardley and then LW came in and gave us the grit. More grit than Ardley as I believe LW has properly coached how to press, it’s not about running around like headless chickens but when and for how long. I think NA and IB understood the principles but LW knows more how to coach and more importantly take the players with him mentally to implement it.
