Good away point … it should have been 3 is my whinge.
Its been the first game I have watched in the Marsch era where Leeds got under the skin of their opponents. Newcastle played like they believed they should beat us by being stronger and faster and bigger. But football isn't like that. Newcastle were truly frustrated and angry that they weren't winning. Leeds only wasted time after the 90th min. Thats not too bad.

We were a bit of a waste of time throughout.

Just fortunate that Newcastle didn’t often have their shooting boots on and, in the the few times they did, Meslier came good.

That said, quite a few teams don’t seem to be firing on all cylinders after the WC break.

Then why don’t we get credit for not letting Newcastle have there shooting boots on? It’s Newcastle fault they didn’t beat us? It’s Newcastle fault we didn’t beat them?

This current team reminds me of Leeds under George Graham when he first came in 1996 after Wilko got fired - basically 8 players picked to nullify the opposition !

Back then we had Radebe & Nigel Martyn & now we have Meslier & err, Cooper.
Back then we didn't score goals either but we had hope in Georgie the Coach & that's why I'm seriously looking to the Rad & co £££s now as its obvious who JM wants in & who he wants out.

So, 1 point gained - gained for a spring-board to exactly where, especially our finding the net tactics wise God knows.

(Ps I predicted a draw folks - Keep the Faith)

All things considered 1 point away is ok, against a team who have been bang on form. Attacking wise, we were like my dear old Nan, toothless.
West Ham game now a biggy.

Our attack like our left side is at present making do, and it’s plain as daylight for all to see and it’s getting beaten to death.

Then again maybe Newcastle smothered our attacks or lack off? If so then let’s give them credit huh? For getting a point off us.

We lacked composure all over the pitch except for Meslier. Newcastle lacked composure in front of goal and imo due to their own proflifigy than any pressure applied by our defence.

I know mate! I hope it’s not lack of confidence, if so I hope non of em read these pages. This result is all round good, a good crowd a clean sheet in front of. It’s all about Everton getting a point at city…..there will be nothing (positive) about LEEDS getting a point off a team on par with them as we look at the table. Two draws Everton won LEEDS lost…..even from our own.

The best kick for me is reading the excuses…..
