Yep-top 6 is probably the most realistic aim.

We've shown, imo, that we have the potential to be title challengers...but not with this squad. When you've got Chris Wood starting and Jacob Murphy coming on (and Manquillo invariably having to face Martinelli on Tuesday) then it's remarkable that we're currently where we are. And that's not intended to dig those players out-it's just the way we are at the moment, lacking squad depth.

Sorry, from what I saw today Longstaff had two pretty easy sitters that he should have put away. For me he's the weak link in the side.

if he couldn't be arsed or did a Mike Williamson or a Ciaran Clark even, then maybe you'd have a point. We know he's the player you like the least but an apology? Howay, man. We're all disappointed, especially straight after the game but...

Longstaff has been good enough to start and was part of the team that got us to 2nd and Howe clearly values the job he does. Grantedhe has his limitations but he does a lot of good, hard work that goes unnoticed. He deserves a break, imo.
Couldn't of put it better myself.

Yes, he does need to be upgraded at some point but he clearly offers a lot, hence why he's started 13 of the possible 19 games we've played this season.

Leeds had a plan and it worked basically.

    Ref was poor though.

Well folks, I think that is 2 points you have thrown away. Newcastle were poor but we were terrible.

I don't think we had any real plan or shape to what we did today. Thought we were very lucky but your finishing was woeful almost like this was a training match or something.

Timewasting by our lot was stomach churning especially after all the moaning we have done, yet maybe we are getting a little more streetwise.

Great to see you unsettling the top 6 though and I hope you do get European football, would be great to see.

    Cheers, man.

You had a plan and carried it out very well. Needs must, sometimes-we know that VERY well after the last few years, Well, quite a few!!

Good luck for the rest of the season-I reckon you should be fine but not convinced about Marsch?

i have watched the game again this morning, if we had a goalscorer on the pitch instead of wood, we would have had 2 goals definitely
and if we had a capable midfielder on instead of Longstaff, we would have had another 2 goals.

I suppose its just the realisation that we are still only 1 year into the takeover and in 2 years time, many of this squad will not be here

and we will be putting those kind of chances away and winning games like these

A point hrre isn't the worst outcome, I would snap your hand off for another one against Arsenal.

I was expecting a win here and probably should have got one but this is a good reality check.

Another cleanie on the upside. Our defense really is the best in the PL right now.
