    Is Molumby the new Mulumbu?

    What do you regulars think?

Old Mulumbu is one of my favourite Albion players of the last 40 years and did it for us at the highest level so I’m not sure the lad has reached these heights yet.

Potential though for him and Yokuslu to be better than Yacob and Mulumbu as a pairing.

Molumby has a great engine and is certainly worth his place in the side the way he is performing of now, however if he has a downside it is in the last third of the pitch when we are attacking. He seem to go to bollox and either gives a poor pass or has a shot which sales miles over the bar. Ironically though today he put the best cross in for Dike to score. I just think he needs to have a cooler head when in good attacking positions.

Okay is better than Yacob IMO, and Mulumbu is (was) a far better player than Molumby. Mulumbu was more versatile and technically gifted, and he was a proper box to box midfielder, good both offensively and (esp) defensively, and capable of some 6-8 goals per season in the PL (Molumby would never come close).

Agree with you Swedish! Molumby getting better though and works well with Okay. Love Okay though and for me he’s a premier player as so much composure

I like Molumby a lot. He’s Irish too. Love the Irish attitude. Raw and real. Mulumbu was great but for blood and guts I think Molumby could be a great player for us.

He has a great understanding with Okay Boingy and to be fair - he’s getting better! Thank the Lord useless Livermore was found out by Carlos.

Okay for me is the real class act - great composure and controls the middle

I was really impressed with Molumby yesterday, he looks to have a good partnership developing with Okay. The whole team are playing with high energy, full on effort for the whole game. I’m afraid that Livermore just doesn’t have the pace for Corboran’s style of play; he’s been a good servant for WBA but time waits for no man, something that Steve Bruce should take on board.

I totally agree Ketts. Livermore was a good servant until the year we were promoted. Then he should have been f ucked off! Harsh? Not really as contracts and recruitment should be ruthless but hey it’s West Brom - 15 million for Grant when 1.5 million would have been too
much when you consider Asante at 300K is a better player with more heart and desire

Okay is class by a country mile. Molumby does need aspects of his game improving but I can see him doing just that. Wont be long before he scores either.

In my book Okay is better than Yacob. He is much more polished and overall a better player. I also consider Molumbu. Is similarly better than Molumby.
Having said that, Molumby has come on leaps and bounds and deservedly MOTM candidate in recent matches. I hope to see him calm down a bit and avoid the petulance that was evident in early days. He always seems to be in the ref’s face arguing decisions - dangerous tactic!
