Govt advice now, which becomes instruction, which becomes compliance.....despite it not working, despite those in Govt knowing it dosent work, despite Germany who had those surgical thingys not stopping transmission.

Our sole reason to live now appears to be help the national COVID service and suffer DFC.

I saw that. I also saw someone on the TV the other day say that there's evidence a mask doesn't stop anyone catching a virus (surprise surprise) but has a little bit of effect in stopping an infected person passing it on. Only a little bit mind.

Then some wummin this morning saying it's only courtesy to wear a face covering if you have a cold or flu and are going into an area where there's a number of people. We've never done this in the history of the planet for colds and flu but now we're inconsiderate if we don't.

Yet another ‘so called expert’ trying to just justify their existence.
Last November(2022) I suffered from an infection of my windpipe which required a course of antibiotics to clear up. I am prone to catching this infection which I have suffered from in the past.
A couple of weeks later I was speaking to a friend on Islay who told me that he was suffering from the same symptoms as I had suffered namely a hacking cough in my windpipe and a streaming nose.
My friend informed me that he was suffering from Covid as he had tested positive on a lateral flow test.
I replied that Covid must have been rife in Dundee in November 1977 as I was suffering from the same symptoms back then.
I received a course of antibiotics from my GP and an insurance line for one week.
In my opinion this so called strain of the Covid virus is nothing more than a heavy cold and throat infection.
The health experts should be telling the media that people suffering from a heavy cold are not suffering from Covid and they should get rid of their lateral flow test kits.

I was in GP about 18 month back and a wee boy called it that rather than masking.

Kinda stuck with me and Mrs sunshine as the Mish mash of how folk " wear" them made it just feel more appropriate.

It stops nothing or it wud have in Germany China and dare I say the bingo in Dundee .....it never has, never will.......all about control as you pointed out near 3 years ago.

It would be helpful if people wore a mask which was tailored to fit their face not the useless ‘one size fits all’ face masks which have a gap at each side to let the germs escape.

I was in Beijing around ten years back and was advised to wear a face covering when out and about. Not because of the risk of catching or passing infection but because of the pollution levels. That's the reason they wear them in more densely populated countries.

It would be helpful if people wore a mask which was tailored to fit their face not the useless ‘one size fits all’ face masks which have a gap at each side to let the germs escape.

And you got one which didn't let virus thru......you can't.

That might be one reason for Beijing but generally across Asia it's to not pass on infection.
Across a lot of Asian countries whether densely populated or not.
