You say you don't buy the 8th argument, but that's a fact. What you must recognise is the change to the game plan. The pressing game Warne employed was, by general consent, very successful. I think Taylor should have recognised that and retained it, bringing in his changes when he had the players to do it and when/if our place in the league was secured.
The other thing I think most people recognise is that the outlook/morale has changed significantly. When we were 8th there was a feeling of optimism, that the current window would see further improvement, and that we would push on. The view that relegation was a serious threat was held by a very small minority. I suggest that this would now be a majority view.
