Mellow to a point pal. A player will tell a Manager within reason, what he is seeking and not just leave it to moving on to the CEO or COO in our place. In other words what's the point of a Manager meeting a player not knowing roughly what they want.

Imagine Taylor speaking with a player and then sending them to speak with Douglas and Co only to find out they want 10k a week. There has to be some insight in what a player is after before progressing further.

Trouble is Brin if you’ve got a set of wishy-washy people that don’t like confrontation they will pass the buck to somebody else.

Compare the Evans era to the Warne era, the forcefulness of Evans gave a quicker pace to recruitment

That's why MT should stand his ground and make sure he gets in his targetted signings.

A complete load of b*llocks based on absolutely nothing. You haven’t got a clue what happens inside the club, just like the rest of us.

Some terrible maths by me there.

Anyway Warne won 26 out of 129 Championship game (not including cup games) so actually 20.15%. I'll work out Evans and Moore too.

Evans won 13 out of 55 Championship games so 23.63%

    Moore 40 out of 63 so 24.54%.

Hope I've done the maths right this time!

Substantive mellowmiller not entirely related to MT.
Short term till end of season, to dig us out of this hole we're in.
    1. Experienced Left-Back required so MT has more options to play 4-5-1/5-4-1.
2.Experience of Grant Hall back and fingers crossed try to keep him fit.
Another experienced Centre-Back alongside Hall, would think about asking Jamie McCart to go out on loan to get more game time. Keep Humphreys here.
    3. 4 out of 5 players at present won't be signing. Looks like they can't or won't match what Wes wants so move on, play Peter Kioso right back.
4.Midfield - wow-Ben Wiles out a body blow, High, BNC gone, Dan Barlaser and Chieo near enough gone, that's a big hole in the midfield.
5.Need Georgie fit and back, big lad up front to knock defenders about.

If there isn't a defender through the door today or tomorrow I will be disappointed.

So far no goals and as the highest earner at the club thats deplorable. Mind you, he has managed to straighten his ponytail 9 times and straighten the lines of his socks during games 15 times so I suppose that's a return.
How do you come to the conclusion that Tom Eaves was a last minute panic signing Brin.?
Hull City didn't take up the option on his contract. RUFC would have been aware of that.
Michael Smith signed for S6 on 22nd June.
Peter Kioso signed around 22nd June - was he a panic buy.?
Tom Eaves signed around 23rd June - doesn't look like a last minute panic buy to me.
Transfer window was into August wasn't??

Name me another forward who was available on a “free” at that time that fit our budget?
