I like the fact he has gone back as it shows the way the squad is being run. Yes he might score a few goals and be a good talent but its clear that the way Williams is managing the squad is to make no guarantees to anyone and I think he would have expected to be in the first team which would probably have caused issues. So best he goes back. Bye and thanks for the memories I am sure there are plenty of young loan stats who want to play for Notts and earn their keep. The fact that we run quite a small squad nowadays is a good thing because it means nobody is that far from first-team contention and probably makes for a much tighter-knit group.

I remember when we had nine or ten more players in the squad than we've got now, but it didn't do us any good. Quite a few them were ageing wage collectors or mythical "ones for the future" who contributed next to nothing and in some cases probably undermined dressing room harmony.

"Ageing wage collectors" is a great and very apt phrase that sums up nicely where we went wrong for so many years in the field of recruitment. Unfocused and wasteful, the owners #radar has brought us the complete opposite IMO

I thought Frank did as well as we could have hoped for and always gave 100%, would have him back if Notts didn’t want him.

From that I’m not that hopeful he’s going to be playing for us much.

He did well for us in patches and I wish him well but I'm convinced LW has ideas where to go from here, whether it is another loan or use what we already have but I definetly trust him to get it right 9 times out of 10, cracking manager

Vincent is one of those players you just tend to like as he gives 100%
I’ve seen him have a few good games for us and a few poor ones.
I’m not sure we’ll see much of him in a Notts shirt as I don’t think he’s technically at the same level as our best 11.

Oh yes didn't that policy get us relegated into non league. A lean mean fighting machine seems to work very well.

I'm very surprised at that . I'm not sure Vincent has manged at any level or would even consider becoming a player manager at his tender age
