    Only 3 or 4 really! I'd say 9 or 10 except Sam

Nothing wrong with experiments, but I was disappointed it lasted the whole 90 minutes. I was hoping to see JOB on for Bostock at half time. JOB makes runs, takes risks and makes things happen. That was what we lacked, it was all too safe and predictable.

This^^^ I was hoping the same. Jim O adds an ''energy'' to the team that was lacking. Vinny has done similar for us, on occasion, but not often enough to nail down a starting place.

Yeah, me too. My point was it wasn't Bostock's fault that he was asked to play and not replaced. I don't think he necessarily played badly at the role he was asked to do. It was just the wrong role for that particular match.

Reading between the lines I don't think LW thought that JOB was fit enough to come on or worried that he would breakdown after his recent lack of game time and think Austin was only just getting over his bug.
For me Vinny should have been on the bench and was required to come on especially with his match fitness up(think he could make the same impact he made last season when he came into the team)
Unfortunately all these modern coaches have read this possession based manual and like the players to play safe and 'control' the game, Vinny doesn't fit into this as he takes chances and loses the ball(JOB not a regular pick under IB for the same reason)
LW is doing a brilliant job and the difference with our away form from last season is phenomenal but at home we are too predictable and don't put enough pressure on teams, for how much possession we have there isn't enough action in and around the opponents goal.
My thoughts all season have been if we don't manage to win the league finish in the top 3 and with our home form we should enter the 50/50 territory of a play off final but now we might be better finishing 6th and do a Grimsby(only joking btw)

Interesting thoughts, and I agree that he takes risks and as a result can be careless in possession which doesn't sit well with his former boss. I do hope Vinny can make an impact on the Matchday squad and in games as it's increased competition and that's never a bad thing. However I do have my doubts and I didn't expect him involved on Tuesday. Presumably he's not been training with Notts since his loan move back in August and only arrived back just a few days before the game so it's a very big ask for him to come in and play with players who are being trained on a particular system, approach for months and presumably worked on passages of play in various scenarios for weeks to fine tune them. The results of which we've all witnessed joyfully this season.

Similar to Bostock he needs to be allowed to get into the swing of things IMO.

Vinny was a bit of a revelation when he first joined the club. I seem to remember him making and scoring a handful of goals for the very reason that he took a chance and tried to make something happen. It doesn't always pays off, of course, but in games like Tuesday night, you need that spark of creativity, plus some real dynamism and movement in the final third. That's pretty much Vinny's game.

I'd like to see him given another chance, at least from the bench.
