That’s one of your daftest ever posts, and that’s some achievement. The lack of self awareness is astounding.

Try to explain when you win money by gambling it's like robbing a bank you haven't worked for it. On horses most I've won was just over £3,600. On lotto most I've won was just over £2,200. I buy something with it rest just saves me drawing money out of the bank for a few weeks. I don't gamble apart from lotto now so winnings will last me longer.

So the objective isn’t to make money to buy stuff but to make enough money to keep doing it on a regular weekly budget?

The pleasure is purely in the studying of form, watching the racing, the satisfaction when you get it right?

I can see that. There is a purpose and a pursuit. I couldn’t bring myself to do it at the rate of £68 a week - absolutely bonkers to me - but I get the motivation.

My brother-in-law was a life long gambler. He would have loved the fact that, when the hearse taking him to the crematorium drove past the local bookies, all the staff came out to pay their respects…

You don't have to explain, I know what gambling is.

What would you do with the money if you won the lottery jackpot? Spend more on lottery tickets?
