Sorry, very negative but at this point I am done with Ted, he just isn't good enough imo.
What he said x2. If we limp along with a cup run in prospect (well, at least another game!) and the odd 3 points it ends up being a sticking plaster fix when major surgery is required (a Marschadectomy!).

It's wonderful that the owners splashed so much cash the last couple of years. The sales of KP and Rapha (which look brilliant right now) aside they have spent a lot of money. Obviously not all of it has been good but it's better than average.

However, the stakes get so high when you spend that kind of cash. we don't have the rich backers than some of the clubs do so relegation probably maroons us in the lower leagues for years. Even Sir Alex's bad first couple of years were offset by a good pot of money and a great youth feeder system.

Just too much to lose letting Ted finish out the season. However, if you aren't going to get a better coach (there are some out there) then just leave him in place. Does make you wonder if the sale to the 49's is finalized and if they can bail if we get relegated.

Suspect there will be both a shareholders agreement in place and potentially some form of purchase agreement.

From what has been written in the press 49ers have until 2024 to complete the purchase of all the shares. If they don’t there should be a mechanism for what happens then and whether Radz can buy back the shares (probably doesn’t want to) or requiring sale to a 3rd party and how they are then valued.

Expect any money pumped in by the 49ers will be reflected in future payment requirements too.

I respect what Dyche achieved at Clarets but not sure if will work with our players… plus wont fit with U23s or club philosophy , and would imagine attendances would fall…Brighton, Brentford have shown that you can play your way out of trouble without being the biggest club. We’re only half way through the season, the table is very tight, I would have thought this run of games upcoming is the make or break for him with games against teams around us

It's been said and think documented the sale goes through only if we remain in the PL.

Appreciate that he would be working at a club that is very different from Burnley, however the different environment there may well (probably did) force his hand in terms of tactics, style of play, the relentless focus on not getting relegated. At LUFC he would have a fairly large pool of resources to pick from, and I imagine he would be as determined as Bielsa was to get the most out of them (and has the PL experience to know how to do that, unlike Marsch).

If he did nothing more than kept us up (and was contracted with on that basis), he would earn his keep, and if there is a dip in attendances between then and now, and we stay in PL, so what? Most (if not all?) PL clubs could play behind closed doors and still make a profit, and if he did a "proper job" i.e winning and progressing up the table, instead of simply surviving, we might want him to stay?

I've watched the forum comments over my "quiet" times, and FWIW I think there is a greater unanimity now than there ever was, although that degree of "all on the same page" is much less positive than it has been in the past. I can't say I'm happy that the majority of comments are critical of the club (yes, honestly!), but by the same token I can't disagree with the majority.

We have a coach who really isn't good enough, is out of his depth (almost like Hockaday) and owes his position to the baleful influence of the 49ers. Their presence is a little like the guy who turns up at your door to announce that HS2 will pass close to your house, but not close enough to allow you to claim compensation (non-UK folks do a google on HS2!), they dominate everything, without taking any responsibility for anything.

Back to the present.....and tin hat time on, but I'd have Dyche tomorrow, even if only for this season and next. He WOULD keep us up, he HAS worked miracles with a shoe-string budget and a revenue stream that makes LUFC look positively rich. Perfect? No. Adequate (and better than what we have)? You betcha.
Have to agree for once, Dysche would pretty much certainly keep us up easily. He did a pretty good job on a shoestring at Burnley for half a dozen seasons, and with our squad wouldn't have any problem saving us from being anywhere near the drop
