It's the first time in years I've not been concerned over a transfer window.

I have faith we're doing what we need to do.

Not heard a solid murmer of a rumour really, which under Ashley would of terrified me but under Eddie and co. . . more than happy.

Don't know about anyone else but i took much more notice of transfer speculation when Ashley owned the club even though he spent bugger all. Probably because we were so desperate for new players all the time. Now we've got very capable people running things who want the best for the club

I understand your mindset. Previously we lived in a world of desperate misery, delusional optimistic that some how the fat slug was actually gonna do the right thing and bring in some quality players, clinging to any and every snippet of nonsense.

How foolish we were but like any abused partner in a toxic relationship, we just applied our make-up, told the neighbours we walked into a door and carried on in denial!

That fella who's just signed for Chelsea is exactly the sort of character we want to avoid, too. Spent weeks talking about Arsenal and Arteta then goes to another team at the last minute because they offered more cash.

I do think, as Albert mentioned, that momentum is key in a season. Much as we havrn't lost, we've kind of struggled to break teams down recently. A new face of the right calibre-and calibre-might give us a boost and a fresh impetus.

Out of the names mentioned, I think savic will only move (somewhere) in the Summer so I'd rather see us loan a player if we were taking, say, unwanted players off Chelsea's books. Pre-takeover, a Chelsea squad player who'd been in and out of their first team would have been a cracking signing but I think our sights will be set quite a bit higher in the Summer and we don't want to fill up places in the squad with players from the teams around us.

I dunno if Mykhailo Mudryk is a bad character. I enjoy Hugh Wizzy's podcast, smart guy talks about football as a wider sport than just a Gooner centric rant channel.

He was furious that Arsenal let the deal slip. I seems that Arsenal were haggling over the price with Shaktar, the deal dragged on and on. Mykhailo Mudryk Indeed was flirting with Arsenal and wanted to go there but then Chelsea came in and did the deal no nonsense. Give the club a deal they accepted straight away, offered the player a package that was accepted right away. Deal done.

Edu dropped the ball on this one big time. Not the first time. He missed out on Bruno, Paqueta, Lisandro Martinez, Vlahovic (to name a few) & signed Pepe for £72,000,000.

Once again fans complain and decry the owners but they have spent a fortune! Like the Scouse Mackems. The brass neck...!
