There's another one, one of the first through the door, and I expressed reservations about him after the Huddersfield game, Sammy Bastien hasn't exactly set Turf Moor alight has he ? And this is not a dig at VK or anyone, I would think the success rate of his signings would match or surpass any manager in world football.

Bastien to some extent is in the same boat as McNally and Twine, other players are totally undroppable, Cullen, Brownhill and Cork are probably the best midfield trio in the Championship.

Odd flashes show why VK bought him and that Liverpool were reported to be interested in him at one stage.

Burnley are claimed to be moving closer to the signing of Djurgardens centre-back Hjalmar Ekdal, who is now travelling to complete the deal.

Interesting at the WBA presser, Vinni said he'd be happy for McNally to go out on loan, if it meant he'd be playing. He also said there were some players who hadn't featured much yet, but they'd be getting their chance. Didn't say who, but Scott Twine could be one he's referring to. I think.

My mate Ollie the Owl says McNally will be turning up for the rest of the season at Hillsborough.

I have no idea if it's true or not.

I would think the fact that Vinni was openly discussing McNally going out on loan in a presser means it's going to happen. He also said it wasn't just Foster he was watching when he was spotted in Belgium recently.

If Beckhamesque is a word, that goal was totally Beckhamesque.
